Programs and Services

Lindenwold Public Schools has a vast continuum of Special Education services. Regardless of needs, once a student is classified, their respective Lindenwold School Building will provide them with the appropriate educational placement and services to be successful.

Team Teaching

A general education classroom where students with IEPs work alongside students without IEPs. This classroom will have both a general education teacher and special education teacher. Everyone participates fully in the general education curriculum while receiving necessary support services and modifications within the classroom.

Resource Replacement/

Language and Learning Disabled

Students with IEPs leaver the general education classroom for specific periods to receive specialized instruction in a separate resource room. This might happen for certain subjects or specific support services, after which the student returns to the general education classroom for the rest of their subjects.

Multiply Disabled

A special class specifically designed for students classified with multiple disabilities, taught by a special education teacher. These classrooms typically have smaller class sizes and provide more intensive support.  This setting is used when students need more specialized instruction that cannot be effectively provided in the general education setting.

Emotional Regulation Impairment

A specialized, self-contained educational setting for students whose primary learning needs stem from significant difficulties with emotional regulation, behavioral control, and/or extreme social challenges that cannot be met in a general education classroom.
