• My name is Alba Lugo, and I am very proud to be the principal of Lindenwold Middle School.  I am originally from Puerto Rico via Spain and Long Island.  I began my career as a higher education administrator coordinating and implementing programs for students of color in the Engineering, Business and Public Policy fields.  For eleven years, I taught Spanish to middle and high school students as well as ESL to adults.  In 2014, I joined the New Brunswick Public Schools as one of their elementary school principals and, in 2016, became a high school vice principal.

My educational journey has taken many twists and turns.  By the time I graduated from high school, I had attended a total of seven schools in Spain, Puerto Rico, and Long Island.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  In the spring of 2022, I completed my doctorate from Rider University in Educational Leadership.

Our team looks forward to working together with our families and students to create a safe and exciting learning environment for all.

In 2006, I became a literacy coach at LMS before transitioning into administration as the Supervisor of Basic Skills and Instruction at School #5 in 2008. I remained in that position until I transferred to LMS in the same capacity in 2016.
