My name is Alba Lugo and I am very proud to be the principal of Lindenwold Middle School. I began my career as a higher education administrator coordinating and implementing programs for students of color in the Engineering, Business and Public Policy fields. For eleven years, I taught Spanish to middle and high school students as well as ESL to adults. In 2014, I joined the New Brunswick Public Schools as one of their elementary school principals and in 2016 became a high school vice principal.
My educational journey has taken many twists and turns. By the time I graduated from high school, I had attended a total of seven schools in Spain, Puerto Rico, and Long Island. I received my bachelors degree in Economics and master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In the spring of 2022, I completed my doctorate from Rider University in Educational Leadership.
I am the proud mother of two grown children who are involved in the Arts and Hospitality fields. During our free time, our family enjoys traveling, attending baseball games, and spending time together.
