• During the 2021 - 2022 school year, the District DEI Committee met to discuss many foundational aspects of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  During our discussions, the committee worked to define the terms Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Lindenwold School District.  The Committee also worked to set goals that have been embedded in our District Strategic Plan.  We also worked to educate staff on Juneteenth Day.  (Staff education and student exposure was our first step in the process for honoring Juneteenth Day. Stay tuned as this process evolves into something our community, students, and staff can be proud of.)

    Juneteenth Informational Flier

  • Equity:

Equity recognizes that inequality exists and works to overcome barriers within our district by providing individualized supports. Furthermore, true equity is achieved by working to remove barriers all together.

  • Diversity:

Diversity is a multidimensional, broadly inclusive concept that acknowledges and embraces the richness of human differences. Attention to diversity is part and parcel of any meaningful conversation about improving the educational experience and outcomes for all students.   We believe that diversity in our schools should be thought of at both macro and micro levels.

  • Inclusion:

Inclusion encompasses all stakeholders within the Lindenwold community. They all have a seat at the table and to have their voices heard. This means that all stakeholders possess a sense of acceptance and a feeling of belonging.

  • Equity recognizes that inequality exists and works to overcome barriers within our district by providing individualized supports. Furthermore, true equity is achieved by working to remove barriers all together.
